The Sunday Ritual
Sunday is the day we slow down. It is also the perfect day to take care of our wardrobe. Not out of obsession, but out of respect — for what we own and for the choices we have made.
The Sunday ritual is not about laundering, but about observing. Looking at what we have, checking the condition of each garment, and making decisions calmly rather than in the rush of a Monday morning.
What to Do
- Open the wardrobe and look at each garment: Does it need brushing? Airing? A minor repair?
- Lay out the clothes for the coming week. Three to five outfits are enough.
- Check buttons, hems, and small details. A missing button today is a discarded garment tomorrow.
- Put away seasonal items that are no longer needed. Less clutter means more clarity.
A wardrobe that is looked after once a week requires far less effort than one that is neglected for months. This is the principle of invisible maintenance — and merino wool rewards it generously.
