The data controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
2. Data processed and purposes
Browsing data (server logs). The server hosting this website automatically collects, for security purposes and to properly deliver the service: browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, time of the request and IP address. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This data is not combined with other sources and is not used to identify you.
Data you provide voluntarily (newsletter and downloadable guides). If you subscribe to our newsletter or request a guide, we process your e-mail address and any data you enter in the form, in order to send you the requested content and editorial communications. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or by writing to info@micron-e.com.
Measurement and content personalisation (subject to consent). With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 for traffic measurement and an internal personalisation system that builds an individual behavioural profile: visitor identifier, interest score, clusters of preferred content and browsing path across the ecosystem’s domains (worldofmerino.com, merinouniversity.com, perfectmerinoshirt.com, micron-e.com). If you subscribe to the newsletter, this profile may be linked to your e-mail address to personalise communications. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via the “Manage consent” button on every page; without consent these tools remain inactive.

3. Recipients of the data
The data may be processed, as data processors, by:
- Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus — website hosting;
- Klaviyo Inc., 125 Summer Street, Boston MA, USA — newsletter management. Transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses.
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC — traffic measurement (Google Analytics 4); any transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework;
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — Meta Pixel (marketing); any transfers to the USA take place on the basis of the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework;
- Railway Corp., USA — processing infrastructure for browsing and personalisation data; transfers based on standard contractual clauses and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework;
The data is neither sold nor transferred to third parties for third-party marketing purposes.
4. Retention
Log data is kept for the technical time required for security purposes. Newsletter subscription data is kept until you withdraw your consent.
5. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you have the right to access your data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, as well as the right to object to the processing and to withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
6. Minors
This website is not intended for children under 16 and the controller does not knowingly collect data relating to minors.
